Chamara Fernando is the Owner and Manager of Charming Tours, Sri Lanka. The company was set up in 2012 when long term peace was established on the island and Chamara’s skills in the military police force working with refugees were no longer required.
Today he is the proud father of 3 gorgeous boys and beautiful twin girls and is delighted to share his paradise home country with visitors from far & near. His passion is his job and together with his brother and a small team across the island. They design and manage bespoke itineraries for any length of stay.
During his time in the military Chamara travelled extensively throughout the country working and spending time in many areas that had hitherto been off limits not only to tourists but to Sri Lankan nationals. His deeply personal knowledge has been put to good use in designing tours that go off the beaten track and delve deeper into the true history and geography of this beautiful island.
For a relatively small country, Sri Lanka has an incredible diversity of geography from towering mountains and cloud forests to verdant plains and sun drenched beaches. The tours suggested above offer only a taste of what the country has to offer. The real difference, however, is Charming Tours. Every itinerary is completely bespoke and caters for any length of time and level of activity you wish. Accommodation can be completely flexible depending on how you want to experience your journey.
